DILWORTH SOUP KITCHEN is a nonprofit organization providing hot, nutritious lunches every Monday of the year to approximately 150 neighbors and guests from throughout Charlotte.  An all-volunteer team prepares and serves fresh, high-quality food, generously donated by our local partners – individuals, businesses and corporate donors.

From its inception in 2008, the Dilworth Soup Kitchen’s goal has been to provide free, wholesome and delicious meals in a restaurant-style environment to anyone -- with no requirements and no questions asked. Our guests are greeted, seated, served and treated with respect and dignity. Volunteers serve their meal, which includes a starter soup, salad, a protein, two hot side dishes and desert. Our volunteers are also invited to sit and eat, and the regulars often do!  The Dilworth Soup Kitchen is just as much about fellowship, service to others and love as it is about the food! The First Christian Church introduced the Soup Kitchen more than 10 years ago and continues to graciously serve as its host.
